60ft Dave Clark trad built in 2002 and professionally fitted out by Wessex Boats. The engine is a very clean and well looked after Beta Marine 1305 litre, four cylinder diesel with PRM 150 gearbox. This is an absolute Tardis of a boat which would equally make an ideal liveaboard home or a 'go anywhere' holiday home for a couple and has recently undergone a full external repaint so really is ready to cruise.
'Liquid Lunch' is the only boat that I've come across with a kingsize double bed in a large cabin with two full length wardrobes! The clever use of space means that the bathroom only takes up a small area whilst still managing to accommodate a double sized shower tray, wash basin and Thetford cassette toilet.
The kitchen has an eye level oven and matching four burner hob as well as a Zanussi washer/dryer, LEC fridge and microwave. Between the kitchen and the open plan lounge area is an ingeniously crafted desk which folds out to make an occasional full length bed! The lounge itself is huge and bright due to the wider than average windows which let the light flood in. The two armchairs both fold out to make single beds so this boat has the potential to sleep five.
This boat is well equipped for four seasons travel with a variety of different ways of heating hot water. There is a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove with back boiler to radiators throughout situated in the lounge. There is also a Mikuni diesel fired boiler as well as a twin coil calorifier AND 240 volt immersion heater which gives you plenty of different options for heating and hot water.
Electricity is provided by the Victron 2500 watt charger/inverter or plug in landline but as with most boats the lighting and systems are all 12 volt.
As you can tell this boat was the product of the previous owners' many years of canal cruising so has everything one would expect to find on a much more expensive vessel. One of the major benefits of this boat has to be the lack of brass, all the metalwork is chrome so NO POLISHING!
The BSC is until June 2010, the last hull blacking was summer 2007, last service and oil change was May 2008 and the last hull survey was done in 2007, a copy of which is available.
Also included in the sale will be a full tank of diesel which roughly equates to £200! |
